Cassette of Barney, Inky and Vince in 1992 at Vince’s house.
Audio letter that Barney Amdahl family made in 1961 to send to relatives in California. Don’t know if we ever sent it, but Barney copied it onto one track of a cassette, and that’s what this is. Barney speaks, then Kathryn (aka Kay) speaks, then Ruth, then Kenn, then Vince, then they all chat some more. Boring to pretty much anyone, but it was nice for me to hear my mother’s voice (after 50 years) and everyone else’s too. It might be nice for Ruth’s kids and grandkids to hear Ruth, as well as the voices of her parents and Uncle Vince. I feel a bit embarrassed that I teased my big sister Ruth about her spelling– in my defense, I was just a kid. Even compressed to an MP3, the file was too large to upload so I split it into two parts.
